You may have seen them, houses that have solar panels attached to them. A few years ago they were a novelty, and sometimes mocked by the general public who were less informed than they are now. These days, people know what solar panels are. They are those things that you see stuck to the side of buildings, and they can be used to generate some electricity for the building itself. They are great for making cups of coffee and generating hot water, and all of those other things that we need to do around the home. Everyone can have them on their home, but not all of us are quite ready just yet. Instead, the majority of the planet’s populace stand back and watch buildings here and there spring up with this latest technology.
A very small amount of us, though, are aware that we can actually carry solar panels around with us for our own use. That’s right, you can now buy portable solar panels that can be folded up in your pocket and then rolled out when you need to generate some power from the rays of the sun. This is new technology, but has ramifications that are pretty heavy.
The best and most appropriate usage so far? Well, if you have a digital camera that is powered by rechargeable batteries and you get stuck somewhere out in the wilderness, you can roll out one of these panel sets and charge up the camera’s battery in minutes. This means that anyone who does a lot of travelling can get a massive amount of usage out of this kind of thing. Check them out, because it won’t be too long before you will see people rolling them out at picnics. Watch this space…
