Enel Green Power forms part of Enel Group, and it is deeply dedicated to expand the use of renewable sources in both Europe and America.

More interestingly, Enel Green Power has also settled itself as a founding partner of one of the biggest proposed projects: Desertec Industrial Initiative (DII). The project is expected to create cooperation amidst North Africa, Middle East and Europe in providing electricity through renewable sources like solar energy.

The company’s main proficiency is in the field of renewable wind, solar and geothermal power. Enel Green Power is already recognised worldwide through its technological leadership in these 3 renewable energy sources. The company is willing grow further in research and development for new technology, especially solar thermal energy and photovoltaic.

In Sicily, the Archimedes project is expected to take off this summer. It will be the first of its kind; having fully integrated molten salt thermal solar plants and cycle gas systems in place to produce electricity.
